The opening session will be devoted to defining the European Union’s general framework of strategies for food research and innovation in the agriculture and bio-economy sector. But the second edition of the World Food Research and Innovation Forum, which will take place on 9 and 10 May in Parma during Cibus (Italy’s top food fair), will cover a much broader spectrum of topics.
The platform promoted by Emilia-Romagna Region to address the Feeding the planet challenges will, in fact, gather worldwide policy makers and experts from research and business communities, offering to representatives of the entire food stakeholder community the opportunity for an exchange of strategic views and dialogue on food security, safety and sustainability.
The Forum, which can still be joined through the registration form, will proceed on the first day with a second session on Global innovation and a third one on Food finance.
On the second day participants’ attention will be focused on the Final round table, which will aim to outline challenges and concrete correlations between the legacy of EXPO Milano 2015, the objectives fixed by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the international community’s commitments to climate change emerged from the COP 21 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Paris.
