The first step will be represented by the meeting of the four distinct Strategic Platforms, scheduled for October. However, the road map of the World Food Research and Innovation Forum, announced in the final session of the second edition of the event held in Parma, during Cibus, has already defined its further perspectives.
After having identified Research, Innovation and Internationalization as priorities in the Feeding the planet challenge and in the process to implement the legacy of Expo Milano 2015, the global permanent platform promoted by Emilia-Romagna Region has in fact fixed the working plan for the next years. In October the four platforms, which are an International Steering Committee consisting of 10 high-level international experts, a second International Strategic partner platform bringing together 15 Institutions, international agencies and organisations, a third International Multistakeholder platform bringing together 20 different stakeholders from private food companies and small and medium enterprises and 20 experts from universities and research centers, and a fourth Scientific Regional platform consisting of 20 experts and representatives of local innovation networks, will have their first meeting.
Then the road map will proceed with:
- an International Scientific Event in 2017
- the next edition of the World Food Research and Innovation Forum in 2018
