World Food Research and Innovation Forum – Business perspectives on the future of food
5th June 2015, Bologna Fair
A fundamental role in the future of food and nutrition is played by companies along with key players involved in defining strategies and policies. This is due to the fact that they have a leading role in both innovation development and adoption processes which can revolutionize, sometimes incrementally and other times disruptivily, the life condition and behaviour of a single group as well as the society as a whole.
Market globalization, the rise of food demand as a result of the emerging economies, as well as the growth in world population, climate change and the exploitation of natural resources, make food security and safety and environmental issues a general challenge to face with a joint approach worldwide
In its last step towards EXPO Milano 2015, the World Food Research and Innovation Forum roadmap returns to R2B – Research to Business 2015.
