Full professor of Food Technology - Department of Agriculture and Food Science, Interdepartmental Centre for Agri-Food Industrial Research, University of Bologna

Graduated with the maximum score in Agricultural Science with Food Biotechnology profile at the University of Bologna, on 1985 M. Dalla Rosa spent some months as research fellows at CSIRO, Sydney, Australia working with Dr. R.J.Steele and Dr. R. Duckworth.

On December 1985 he started the academic career as lecture,  researcher (1990) thus, from 1992 to  2000 Associate Professor of Food Technology at The University of Udine.  On 1987 defended the PhD thesis on Food Biotechnology. From 1992 to 2000 Associate professor at University of Udine.

From 2000 he is Full Professor of Food Technology and President of the Degree Courses of Food Science and Techology in Cesena (University of Bologna).

From December 2011 he is Director of the Interdepartmental Centre for the Agri-Food Industrial Research.  Member of IFT, of IFA Advisory board, of the Steering Committee of the Italian Food Science and Technology Society, EFFoST Executive Committee member and  2013 EFFoST Annual Conference Chairm M. Dalla Rosa is author or co-author of around 300 scientific publications or congress communications.
