Roberto Massini is full professor in Food Science and Technology and scientific responsible of SITEIA.PARMA (Interdepartmental research centre for the food safety, technology and innovation) at the University of Parma. In the period 2010-2013 was scientific coordinator of the Agro-Food Platform of the High Technology Network of the Emilia-Romagna Region.
His research activity mainly deals with the following topics: cold food processing by using supercritical fluids; mathematic modelling, simulation and optimisation of heat and mass transfer in food processing; predictive automatic control of continuous heat processing; evaluation and validation of hygienic design of food equipment.
He is author of more than 170 papers published on international and national journals and conference proceedings.
