Master of Nutrition, EMBA, Chief Doctor.

Dr. Zhang is PhD supervisor of Southern Medical University and a visiting professor of Griffith University, Australia. He is the director general of Guangdong Provincial Center for Disease Prevention and Control. His main research fields include risk management for food safety and public health management. Dr. Zhang is also a member of Functional Food Committee of China Food and Drug Administration, the chairman of Guangdong Provincial Food Safety Specialist Committee and a chief specialist for food safety of Guangdong Provincial Health and Family Planning System.

He leads the formulation of Food Safety Risk Surveillance Management Regulation and revises China Major Food Safety Accidents Emergency Responses Reserve Plan. He is the chief editor of several publications including Food Safety Emergency Management.
