The future of food safety according to agencies from Canada, China and Europe, three comparative approaches

Three of the most relevant food safety agencies in the world will meet at the fourth and final conference of the 2014 World Food Research and Innovation Forum.

Alberto Spagnolli from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA), Samuel Godfroy from Health Canada and Yingnan Zhang from China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) will discuss the positions and the different actions planned to address the challenges of food safety that today are increasingly globalized and therefore share common goals.

The three regulatory agencies will be accompanied by interventions from associations representing food sector businesses at the national and European level. Pietro Noe, Directorate General of Hygiene and Food Safety and Nutrition from the Italian Ministry of Health and Wim Debeuckelaere, Directorate General of Consumer Safety and Health of the European Commission, will complete the institutional framework.
