Food as a health and well-being tool

The third conference of the World Food Research and Innovation Forum calls for discussion by national and international experts on the relationship which links health and well-being with the consumption of fruit and vegetables.

Lieselotte Cloetens, researcher at Lund University, will present the positive effects on human health highlighted by recent studies on the contribution of some particular nutrients found in fruits and vegetables used in the Nordic diet. Professor Alessandra Bordoni from the University of Bologna will help us to understand the effects that the economic crisis has produced on proper nutrition of the European population.While Professor Pedro Fito from the University of Valencia will illustrate the positive aspects on health obtainable from the design of some functional foods. The conference will be closed by a round table discussion with four companies of the fruit and vegetable sector.
