Institute of Biometeorology, National Research Council (CNR)
Doctor in Agricultural Science, Senior Scientist at the Institute of Biometeorology (IBIMET), she is responsible of the IBIMET detached branch in Bologna.
Her research interest is focused on plant ecophysiology, investigating the physiological and biochemical parameters in the correlation between resistance and tolerance to biotic and abiotic factors in food crops and the effects on fruit quality.
She is also investigating the phytoremediation effect of plants on the CO2 and air pollutants uptake and the potentiality to emit volatile organic compounds that can contribute to the production or reduction of ozone and particles, especially in urban or industrial airsheds.
She has been the responsible of national and international projects regarding the characterization of physiological processes for the optimization of fruit quality and the environmental mitigation effect of green infrastructures.
She is author of more than 110 publications
