Aldo Ceriotti

Aldo Ceriotti is Director at the Institute of Agricultural Biology and Biotechnology of the National Research Council in Milan. He has studied Agricultural Sciences in Milan and has also worked in the United Kingdom (University of Warwick) and in Australia (CSIRO, Canberra). He has been the coordinator the agricultural biotechnology and genomics projects of the National Research Council Agri-Food Department.
He has published over 40 research papers and reviews, several book chapters and one patent. He has been working in the fields of plant cell biology and biotechnology and more specifically on the folding, assembly and intracellular trafficking of seed storage proteins. His current research interests include oxidative protein folding in plant cells, wheat storage protein assembly, and the production of pharmaceutical proteins based on plant toxins.
