Ladislau Martin Neto
Executive Director, Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation - Embrapa
Mr Martin Neto was Executive Secretariat of National Agricultural Automation Program of Embrapa (1997-2001), and Coordinator of Embrapa Virtual Laboratory Abroad (Labex) in USA, associated with USDA-Agriculture Research Service (2009-2011). He was the President of International Humic Substances Society (IHSS), a society created in 1981 in USA. Currently he is co-chair of Croplands Research Group of Global Research Alliance of Agricultural Greenhouse Gas Emission. Since December, 2012, he is the Executive Director of Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation.
PhD in Applied Physics by University of Sao Paulo, and Pos-doc in Soil and Environmental Science at University of California, Berkeley. Senior Scientist Researcher of Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation (Embrapa) since 1986, at National Center of Research and Development in Agricultural Instrumentation, where he was Head of Research and Development (1992-1994 and 1994-1997), and Director (2002-2006).
